Before delivery you will be contacted by telephone by the carrier to agree on the date and time of delivery. On the day of delivery you will need to be at the address indicated and supervise the unloading of the goods.
At the time of unloading you will need to:
- check that the number of packages corresponds to that shown on the transport document
- check the integrity of all packages
- sign the transport documents with detailed reservation. It is essential that the reservation is detailed and precise. Should you sign the transport documents without reservation or with generic reservation, the carrier will refuse the refund of any damage.
- photograph each package before and after transportation into your home. If the goods contained inside are damaged, the carrier cannot claim that the damage was caused by you.
Standard packaging is made of cardboard. As much as the manufacturing companies are accurate in the packaging and however delicate the carriers are, it may happen that the packaging has imperfections. Below we provide you with a mini guide that will be useful to you on the day of delivery.
THE PACKAGING IS INTACT
If the packages are intact and do not show anomalies, sign the transport documents with "collection subject to control for any internal damage not verifiable at the time of delivery". If the delivery takes place at street level, take a picture of the individual packages before and after transport inside your home. Open the packages carefully without using scissors or cutters and keep the original packaging.
THE PACKAGING HAS ANOMALIES
If the packages show anomalies (scratches/surface tears) that do not compromise the integrity of the goods, sign the documents with "collection subject to control for damaged/ deteriorated/ wet packaging". If the delivery takes place on the street level, take a picture of the individual packages before and after transport into your home. Open the packages carefully without using scissors or cutters and keep the original packaging.
THE PACKAGING HAS SERIOUS ANOMALIES
If the packages SHOW serious anomalies to the point of certainly compromising the integrity of the goods, refuse delivery and contact us by email at email@example.com.
THE PACKAGING IS INTACT BUT THE GOODS ARE DAMAGED
If the packages are intact, but the goods are damaged, contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will need detailed and clear images to understand whether the defects are attributable to the manufacturing company (manufacturing defect) or to the transport company (non-compliant transport). The report must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods. After this time frame, the goods will be considered delivered in perfect condition: the manufacturing company and the transport company will decline any responsibility.
