Kartell was born in Milan in 1949 thanks to the inspiration of Giulio Castelli and for over 70 years it has been a leader in the panorama of international and non-international design, for its vision and the iconic nature of its products. All Kartell collections are distinguished by the material used - plastic - the choice of colors, the multi-functionality, as well as by the simple but effective design, which has made each creation immediately recognizable in Italy and abroad. In 1999, Kartell designed the first chair in the world entirely made of polycarbonate, Marie. And thanks to this passion for experimentation and for the improvement of production techniques, Kartell has introduced satin finishing, softness and touch within its collections. Among the best-selling products is the Louis Ghost chair, transparent and minimal, consecrated as an iconic object all over the world. Numerous designers have collaborated with Kartell over the years: Philippe Starck to whom we owe the new A.I chair, the first to be made entirely by an Artificial Intelligence using waste materials; then we find the personalities of Nendo, Alberto Meda, Front, Ron Arad, Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Mario Bellini, Eugeni Quitllet, Tokujin Yoshioka and Patricia Urquiola.
